I was sitting at my computer, staring at a blank screen, knowing that I needed to make a strip and still not having my art supplies or drafting table.

And then it hit me. The King of Sweden! The whole point is that he hangs out on the couch and doesn't move! An ideal topic for a copy-paste-o-mat strip.

Plus, it's high time that octopus thing became a running gag.
