For panel 4, I originally had the last bit of text be "We're mad scientist roommates who periodically die!" In fact it was posted that way for over a year during the hiatus. But a number of people, Casey especially, thought it was a very bad idea to ever have Casey or Andy directly acknowledge that they come back to life. The gag is only funy as long as it remains unexplained.

They have obliquely acknowledged their multiple-death nature a few times in the past, but never directly.

TRIVIA TIDBIT:

Believe it or not, Casey and Andy's occasional deaths were not inspired by Kenny from South Park. It was just a necessity I had to write that in because so many of the gags involved them dying. The only alternative would be a "Wily E. Coyote" wounded and limping shot of them afterward. That's lame.
