Yeah, I know it's a hackneyed narrative trick. Panning out to reveal that the person you thought was shot/stabbed actually wasn't. But frankly, parallel dimensions is a pretty hackneyed plot. So it fits in well.

As C&A's reader base increases in size, it becomes more or less impossible for me to suprise everyone with plot twists. People on the forums predicted more or less every possible outcome. So I'll have to just ignore predictions, even correct ones, when writing. Otherwise, I'll just spend all my time trying to outsmart my readers. And, in that C&A is a webcomic that targets nerds and geeks, I have pretty smart readers on the whole. So they're pretty hard to outwit. So I won't try.

However, if I see a cool idea I hadn't thought of, well, I'll steal it. But I'll give credit where it's due if I do.
